The Medical Corps of the Army has got as distinctive decoration a star with five tips, the white small circle with a cross, the "caduceus sticks" and the towered crown.
Recently an "O" and the Greek Fi have been added.
These elements, put in different order, originate the insignias of Medical Surgeons, Veterinarians, Pharmacists, Dentists and Psychologists.
For the troop personnel and non-graduates in Medicine, the basic insignias is a star with five tips and a towered crown on the top; in the centre of the star there is a red or blue cross in the centre of the white small circle.
For the Doctors the star is smaller and it is lied on two sticks.
The Pharmacists have not got the star and the "sticks" are criss-crossed under the small circle; the Veterinarians have got the same decoration of the Doctors but with the blue cross.
The Medical personnel of the Paratroopers units has got the decoration constituted by parachute, sword and spread wings.
The insignias, realized in matt silver metal and lied on a shiny metal circle, are fixed on the beret and the rigid cap.
