Appeared on 18^th April 1659, the Grenadiers of Sardinia are the eldest Infantry specialty.

They wear silver bridings with double T on a scarlet background; the Brigade has got the briding of the Grenadiers with the insignia of the Army or Corps overlapping it.

The Regiments of Bersaglieri and of Lancers, included in the Brigade, are the only two units to maintain their own patches.

The personnel of the specialty wears big bridings on the collar of the jacket, the coat, the overcoat and the raincoat.

Embroidered bridings on a black background are used also on the ceremonial uniform.
