The Central Logistic Group was constituted on 1st January 1976 as independent body at the dependencies of the 5th Unit of the General Staff of the Army; it was the result of the merger between the 1st Army Independent Group (1st RAE) with the Operational Employment Unit and the 11th "Flaminia" manoeuvre Group, getting the name of Army Services Unit (USE).
On 12th September 1980 the Army Services Unit was reorganized and had at its dependencies the 1st and 2nd Army Electronic Computing Centre (1st and 2nd CCEE), the Materials Codification Centre (CECOMA) and the Logistic Complex of the "Pio IX" barracks that in 1982 reacquired its independence.
On 1st September 1990 the Army Service Unit passed at the dependencies of the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Army, including the Logistic Centre of General Staff of the Army (CELOSME).
On 1st July 1992 it was named Operational Group of General Staff of the Army (ROSME). On 1st January 1994 the 2nd Army Electronic Computing Centre (CCEE) was dissolved and its personnel met in the 1st Army Electronic Computing Centre, naming it Army Electronic Computing Centre.
On 1st September 1995 the Army Band and the infrastructure of Forte Bravetta became part of the Operational Group of General Staff of the Army (ROSME).
On 1st January 1998 the Logistic Centre of General Staff of the Army (CELOSME) was suppressed and it three Logistic Complex of "Pio IX", "Lungara" and "Castelfusano" became part of the Group.
On 30th April 1998 the Operational Group of General Staff of the Army (ROSME) assumed its present name of "Logistic Central Group (RALOCE), passing at the dependencies of the Capital Command on 1st July 1998.
On 1st October 1998 the Army Electronic Computing Centre (CCEE) passed at the dependencies of the Inspectorate that is now the Army Logistic Command.
