The 11th "Flaminia" Transports Regiment was constituted on 1st April 2014 by transformation of the "Flaminia" Transports Battalion; it is the heir of the maneuver Auto Group of the General Staff of the Army, constituted in Rome in 1948.
The Regiment, that ensures the transports for the Central Bodies, is organized in a Regiment Command, a Command and Logistic Support Company, a Transports Battalion with three Transports Companies equipped with commercial and tactical vehicles and a Maintenance Company.
Formed by volunteer personnel, the Regiment is located in Rome, since it was constituted.
The celebration of the Regiment, as for all the units of the Transports and Materials Army, is on 22nd May that is the anniversary of the first big transports by Units employed in the battle of Altipiani (1916).
