In two months of hard period of operations in Northern Africa, against an enemy that was better in term of preparation, experience and superiority of the armoured weapons, it operated with high resistance and sacrifice. In defending Bardia it sacrificed a whole company to destroy enemy tanks and inflict bloody losses of enemy men and vehicles. The battalion continued to attack with the same tenacious offensive spirit highlighting the superiority of the Italian soldiers and raising the admiration of the enemy. Aware of their destiny, the tank drivers of the 3rd M/13 Battalion operated with honour and sense of duty even when their unit was completely destroyed. Decree of 30th April 1977
Directly involved in the earthquake occurred in Friuli, it promptly intervened in rescuing the population using all the resources of men and materials. In hard and dangerous conditions for the continuous tremors and collapses, it operated with great solidarity to rescue wounded and people under the ruins contributing to reduce damages and ensure security. Its work provoked the admiration of the Authorities and the gratitude of the rescued population. (to the 3rd "M.O. Galas" Tanks Battalion – Friuli, 6th May 1976).
Bronze Medal to the Army Valour
Decree of 15th March 1994
Included in the Italian contingent in Somalia, the 32nd Tanks Regiment participated to the rescue and protection operations in favour of the population suffering the civil war. For about 15 months, operating in difficult environmental conditions, its units have always stressed their high professional capabilities and sense of duty showing the capability to limit bloodsheds. The units guaranteed security and faced several emergency becoming a point of reference for all the contingent forces. Great example of competence and extraordinary valour that contributed to increase the prestige of the Italian Army in Homeland and abroad. (Somalia, 29th December 1992 – 15th March 1994).

Decree of 1st October 1996
As a sign of recognition for the generous contribution in the rescue operations in favour of the population hit by the flooding of November 1994. (Rome, 29th December 1995).
