The "Friuli" Airmobile Brigade is one of the Great Units that are part of the Projection Forces of the Armed Force.
It was formed in 1884; it fought in the First and Second World War, concluding the conflict on 21st April 1945 as Combat Group in Bologna.
In 2004 from mechanized unit it became airmobile unit.
Deployed in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, it is composed of two helicopters regiments, an airmobile infantry regiment and a logistics regiment.
The Command Brigade headquarter is situated in Bologna.
