Golden Medal to the Military Valour
Decree of 13^th December 1948

During offensive operations for the conquest of an important industrial and mineral region, it carried out its difficult missions with dedication and courage. It attacked the enemy columns on southern Don, contributing to develop the maneuvre efficiently. Attacked by two enemy battalions during a dangerous patrol, it managed to limit the resistance of the enemy units, remembering the cavalry heroism and its traditions. (Russian front: Krasnj-Lutsch, July 1942; Simowskij, quota 200,1, quota 236,7, quota 209,9 of Val Krisaja, Ciglione di Jsbuschenskij, Bachmutin, quota 226,7 of Jagodnij, 21^st -30^th August 1942).

Decree of 5^th June 1920
In the reconquest battle (October – November 1918), while the majority of the Army fought in Tagliamento, units of the Regiment entered Udine giving it the liberation by the enemy forces. (Udine – Val Natisone, 1^st – 4^th November 1918).

During war operations, even in the most difficult for the environmental and logistic situation, it imposed its aggression and courage to the enemy. After having chasing the enemy for 250 kilometres, it showed its ability in the occupation of an important mineral centre defended by the enemy. (Russian front: Nipro, Stalino, Kriwojtorez, Pantelejmonowka, Orlowka, August 1941 – May 1942).

Employed in Lebanon as maneuvre tactical group called "Italbatt 2", for eight months in the operational theatre it has  distinguished for abnegation, extraordinary spirit of sacrifice and courage. Responsible for the control and the security of the most sensitive section of the border between Lebanon and Israel, it operated with tenacity and professionalism ensuring its efficient presence. Conscious of the important task, the dangers and the difficulties of the mission, men and women of the "Savoy" carried out their activities with strong determination. They highlighted military virtues and contributed to the success of the operations, increasing the prestige of Italy on an international context.
