The Command

The Training Command and Application School of the Army, situated in Turin, is responsible for the training of the Army personnel. Its tasks are divided into three areas: basic education, advanced education and language education.

It also ensures the basic and advanced training of Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Volunteers, along with the language education of all the Army.

In particular, the Command contributes to the basic training of Regular and Special Role Officers, Officers of the Selected Reserve and those with direct appointment.

With about 1,000 Officers attending courses every year, a hundred civil students, 118 university teachers and 30 military teachers that teach more than 100 university subjects and 28 military subjects, the Application School of the Army represents one of the didactic centres of excellence and a new cultural centre of prestige for the city of Turin.

In the same location there is also the Post Conflict Operation Study Centre that is responsible for the development of the project for the creation of an Army Centre of Excellence dedicated to the study and research concerning the post conflict operations and the training of military and civil personnel, promoting an "Italian way" of the post conflict management.

Moreover at the dependencies of the Training Command and Application School of the Army there are the Military Academy of Modena, the two Military Schools of Naples and Milan, the Non-Commissioned Officers School in Viterbo and the Language School in Perugia.
