The Tactical and Logistic Support Regiment was constituted on 16th June 2002 by transformation of the Command Unit of the Rapid Deployable Corps.
On 27th October 2006 it received the War Flag of the 33rd "Ambrosiano" Maneuvre Logistic Regiment with its heraldic insignia.
On 1st January 1982 the 3rd Maneuvre Logistic Battalion was formed by transformation of the 3rd Supply Repair Rescue Unit, a support unit of the 3rd Army Corps from which it took personnel and equipment. Firstly organized in a Command, command and services company, supplying company, maintenance company, on 1st July 1982 it included a medium transports company and a mixed transports company, with personnel and vehicles of the dissolved 3rd "Fulvia" Army Corps Auto Group.
In 1983 the Battalion was designated to facilitate the personnel moving, the supplying and the evacuation of vehicles and materials for the Italian Military Contingent in Lebanon. On 1st November 1986 it changed its name into 33rd "Ambrosiano" Maneuvre Logistic Battalion and was at the dependencies of the Supports Unit Command of the 3rd Army Corps; it also increased its components including the Multirole Helicopters Division, two armoured transports platoons and a new mixed transports company. By decree of 3rd July 1987 it received the War Flag.
With the reorganization of the Army on 30th April 1993, the Battalion was included as Maneuvre Logistic Battalion in the 33rd "Ambrosiano" Maneuvre Logistic Regiment constituted in Milan to ensure technical-logistic support to the 3rd Army Corps. Its personnel and vehicles were employed in the "Pellicano" Operation in Albania (3rd September 1991), the "Forza Paris" exercise in Sardinia (1992) to reinforce the "Centauro" Medical Unit, the "Sicilian Vespers" Operation in Sicily (1992) to reinforce the 2nd Bersaglieri Regiment, the "Ibis" Operation in Somalia (1992-1993) to reinforce the "Centauro" Medical Unit and the "Folgore" Paratroopers Logistic Battalion.
For the needs of the great units from which the Regiment depended, the 31st Medical Unit was included in the logistic Battalion in order to provide material efficiency and personnel training. From 11th November to 31st December 1994 the Regiment was employed in rescue operations in favour of the populations hit by a flood in the Piedmont region.
Organized in a Command, company and services command and a logistic battalion, after the transformation of the 3rd Army Corps Command the Regiment passed at the dependencies of Projection Forces Command on 1st October 1997. On 31st July 2001 the Regiment was reorganized as an Army Corps Command Unit of Rapid Deployable, including the personnel of the dissolved FOP Command Unit of Milan; on 3rd August the Flag was put at the Memorial Monument of Vittoriano.
On 1st November 2001 the Unit passed at the dependencies of the Signals Brigade Command and on 16th June 2002 it changed its name into Tactical and Logistic Support Regiment of Army Corps, organized in: a command, a command and logistic support company, a tactical and logistic support battalion (transport company, supply, Bersaglieri and support to the deployment), giving support to the Army Corps Command.
It participated in the "ISAF" Operation in Kabul (Afghanistan), from 21st June 2005 to 21st November 2005, and in the "INDUS" Operation in Pakistan from 2nd December 2005 to 2nd February 2006.
On 27th October 2006 the Regiment received the War Flag of the 33rd "Ambrosiano" Maneuvre Logistic Regiment, guarded at the Vittoriano.
