The Parachuting Section of the Army Sport Centre is part of the "Folgore" Paratroopers Brigade and it is located in Pisa at the Parachuting Training Centre, where all Italian military paratroopers train.
This racing teams has been founded with the aim of representing the Italian Army all over the world, participating to the most important parachuting events and competitions, in military and civil context. The Parachuting Section boasts a large number of victories, not only nationally but also worldwide.
The most practiced sport disciplines are the "classical" ones: the "precision landing" and the "free fall style", but in the military competitions the athletes have to try the "free fall formations".
In order to enter the team, you have to be a military member of the Italian Army and have the "parachuting licence", obtaining in a civil parachuting school. Every men and women with suitable psychophysical capabilities and younger than 26 years can aspire to be selected for an evaluation period.
