The Historical Uniforms are used by the Military Academy, the Military Schools, the School for Non-Commissioned Officers and some Regiments employed in armoured services or representation services. The Historical Uniform call to mind the nineteenth-century uniforms of the Savoy Army; they are constituted by turquoise jackets with the hem in the colours of the Army and a single or double button arrangement, light blue trousers with the hem in the colours of the Army or the regiment and the hat of the specialty.

The pictures show the Uniform of the Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Troops of Artillery, Bersaglieri, "Grenadiers of Sardinia", "Launchers of Montebello" and of the Military Schools. The hats are different: the chepì of the Artillery and the Schools or Academies, the classical hat of the Bersaglieri, the fur hat of the Grenadiers and the smallest one used by the Cavalry.
