The Document Centre of Milan originates from the 23rd Military District of Milan that was instituted in December 1870.
The Centre is opened to the public from Monday to Thursday, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 and on Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. There is also a telephone counseling service at the telephone numbers 02/4690361 and 02/4812082 in the following hours: from Monday to Thursday from 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., and on Friday from 11.00 a.m. to 12.00
Led by a Colonel, the Centre carries out documental activities for the personnel that has concluded the military service, informative activities for people who look for information about the enlist and the reserve, service activities for other Institutions such as the Municipalities.
It is responsible for the provinces of Lombardia, Milan, Pavia, Lodi, Monza and Brianza. For the provinces of Como and Brescia there are their own Document Centres.
