For its extraordinary conduct in the battles of Sforzesca and Novara (21^st – 23^rd March 1849) and during the campaign of 1848.

On the occasion of the earthquake in Friuli, it promptly intervened with men and vehicles to rescue the populations hit by the event; it operated with courage and abnegation, helping people and contributing to limit the damages. Its work raised appreciation by the Authorities and recognition by the rescued populations, strengthening the prestige of the Army. (Friuli, 6^th – 15^th May 1976).
