The Alpine Training Centre is the training school of the Alpine Troops for Volunteers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Officers that will serve in the alpine units of the Army.

Organized in a Training Unit with the h​eadquarter in the "Battisti" Barracks, it has got the Ski Mountaineering Section located in La Thuille, "Mont Blanc" Barracks, and the Ski and Ice Section of the Army Sport Centre in Courmayeur, "Perenni" Barracks.

At the dependencies of the Centre there is also the Pusteria training isle with the 6^th Alpine Regiment.
