The Cavalry School is dedicated to the training and the specialization of Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Volunteers of the Italian Army Cavalry.
The Training Regiment is at the dependencies of the School that has got its General Staff.
The main activity of the School, as armoured Pole, concerns the training and the specialization of Cadet Officers, Marshals and Cadet Sergeants, in addition to the qualification, the updating and the specialization of Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Volunteers.
It is located in Lecce and it guards the Flag of the Cavalry, decorated with a Military Order of Italy and a Golden Medal to the Military Valour.
The celebration of the School is on 30th October, anniversary of the battle in Pozzuolo del Friuli (1917).
