"Managing diverse challenges and transformational paths: an effort by the Chiefs of the European Armies into creating shared understanding and unity of intent"

This edition promoted by Italy is based on the principle of indivisibility of security in the Euro-Mediterranean area and the NATO cohesion.
The topics included in the agenda concern the necessity to create unity of intent and shared understanding of the challenges to the security of the European continent, in order to face them in a unique strategic framework of regional security.
Because of these challenges, whether they come from the East or from the Middle East and Africa regions, there are no Countries that can consider themselves as immune from terrorist threats or migratory fluxes. As regards this aspect, the widespread fragility of institutions in the southern Mediterranean area calls for the adoption of an all-embracing approach and a common effort shared by all the actors of the Euro-Atlantic institutions.
