The Document Centre of Palermo originates from the 33^rd Military District of Palermo that was instituted in December 1870.

Led by a Colonel, the Centre is opened on Tuesday, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.; on Thursday from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m.

It carries out documental activities for the personnel that has concluded the military service, informative activities for people who look for information about the enlist and the reserve, service activities for other Institutions such as the Municipalities.

The Centre is responsible for the provinces of Palermo, Caltanissetta, Agrigento, Messina (northern area) and Trapani.

It deals with the release of matriculation documents that certify the military service and that can be requested
