​The Museum was built in 1992 with the scientific support of M.Brigaglia and G.Fois of Sassari University; it is situated on the ground floor of the "La Marmora" barracks that dates backs to the end of the last century. It has been realized to remember the glorious traditions of the "Sassari" Brigade, the Unit constituted in 1915 by regional components.

The exhibition is organized in 5 rooms as follow:

1^st ROOM: general information, maps of the battles of the Firs​t World war and honour wall with citations of merit;

2^nd ROOM: photos of the main battles carried out by the "Sassari" Brigade, exhibition of memorabilia and artefacts;

3^rd ROOM: reconstruction of a trench of the World war and photos about the trench war;

4^th ROOM: the life at the front, the death, the imprisonment and exhibition of memorabilia, documents and uniforms of that period;

5^th ROOM: the "Sassari" Brigade after the First World War up today; exhibition of documents and photos.​
