The Great Unit intervened in 1968 in Belice to help the peoples after the earthquake and in Irpinia after the earthquake of 1980. In 1992 it participated in the rescue operations after the eruption of volcano Etna. From 25th July 1992 to 1998 it was employed in the "Sicilian Vespers" Operation.
At the end of the twentieth century the Great Unit provided personnel in the KFOR Mission and units for the OTAN Communication West Zone Command in Albania.
In the summer 2001 it participated in the operations for the impoundment of lava flows from the volcano Etna.
In 2001-2002 the Brigade participated in the Balkans Operations: the 5th "Aosta" Regiment was employed in the Joint Guardian in Albania, a Launchers Squadron of Aosta and a Platoon of the 4th Engineer Regiment were employed in the Joint Forge Operation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Since August 2003 some personnel of the Brigade participated in the OTAN Operation – Headquarters of Tirana (NHQT), in the Balkan Theatre. In 2005 the "Aosta" Brigade sent units from the 4th Engineer Regiment, an Engineer Company and an Engineer Platoon in Bosnia and Albania, as well as some personnel in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.
From 6th May 2006 to 24th October 2006 the "Aosta" Brigade constituted the Command of the Multinational Task Force West for the "Joint Enterprise" Operation in Kosovo along with the 6th Bersaglieri Regiment, a Company of the 4th Engineer Regiment ad the "Aosta" Command and Tactical Supports Unit.
From 23rd October 2007 to 30th April 2008 the "Aosta" Brigade returned to Kosovo for the Command of the Multinational Task Force West for the "Joint Enterprise" Operation. The manoeuvre regiment was the 6th Bersaglieri Regiment; the Task Force was composed of a Company of the 4th Engineer Regiment and the national support (NSE) was ensured by personnel of the "Aosta" Command and Tactical Supports Unit. That was an important operation because the period was characterized by events that marked the Kosovo history. Political elections in Kosovo, in Serbia and declaration of Independence of Kosovo.
From 15th May to 14th September 2009 it had for the third time the Command of the Multinational Task Force West in Kosovo. The manoeuvre regiment was the 5th "Aosta" Infantry Regiment and the Task Force was composed of a Company from the 4th Engineer Regiment. Other units of "Aosta" participated in the Operation: a Signals Company and a Command Company from the "Aosta" Command and tactical Supports Unit.
