Two squadrons of "Lancieri di Aosta" with others of the same Regiment were ordered to advance because the 1st Division was retreating, chased by the enemy, up to Monte Vento; with brilliant and repeated attacks they stopped the chasing of the enemy permitting the reserve of the Army Corps to center at Monte Vento, offering in that way an extraordinary service. Chasing the enemy, the squadrons of "Aosta" arrived to the bridges of Latisana preventing their destruction. Then they attacked crushing the enemy resistance in Corgnolo. (From Monticano to Cervignano, 29th October – 4th November 1918).

Extraordinary group of energies and enthusiasm, affirming itself in the conquest of Neghelli after having contributed to open a way for the conquest of the region of the great lakes, along with detachments of a great unit operating in eastern Africa; in a difficult battle against strong and hardened rebels organized to defend, it gave proof of valour crushing and defeating the enemy resistance. Extraordinary unit with discipline, enthusiasm, spirit of abnegation and valour, after having contributed efficiently to the conquest of Neghelli, in long months of colonial campaign made hard by the difficulties of the territory and the enemy danger, it gave continuous example of military virtues. In the multiple battles that led up to the conquest of the territory of Governo dei Galla and Sidama, it marked with its blood the stops of the march to the final victory. Decree of 4th January 1978
On the occasion of the violent earthquake in Friuli, it intervened promptly with men and vehicles to rescue the populations hit by the disaster. Operating with courage and abnegation, it gave an efficient help to the needy people, contributing to reduce the damages of the tragic event. Its work raised appreciation among the Authorities and recognition of the populations, strengthening the prestige of the Army. (Friuli, 6th – 15th May 1976).

In the first victorious period of the Greek campaign, it operated with audacity and aggressive spirit. In Paramythia, in Val Suhe and on the positions of Stegopoli it always intervened in any occasions with great valour, contributing to the actions of the infantrymen.
