As a powerful instrument of war it started its dedication, sacrifice and victory. Moments of conquest and glory, struggles of battleships against battleships. Bir El Gobi, Sidi Rezegh; demolished strongholds, quota 204 of Ain El-Gazala, El Duba, Bir Hacheim, Dahar El-Aslagh; anxiety of pursuing the enemy, defeated on our territory while it was retreating towards East, from Tobruk to El-Alamein. It always faced a combative enemy that was superior in number and strength, fighting in a difficult context; it sacrificed twice in glory. It showed tenacity and morality worthy of the heroic spirit and the thousand-year-old traditions of the Italian Army. (Bir El-Gobi, 18th November 1941 – El-Alamein, 3rd July 1942.

Decree of 5th October 1994
The 132nd Tanks Regiment, included in the Italian contingent employed in Somalia, participated in the rescue and protection operations in favour of the population suffering for the civil war. For about 15 months it has operated night and day in difficult environmental contexts, showing high professional capabilities and sense of duty. It has always guaranteed an extraordinary level of security facing several emergencies and becoming a reference point for all the forces of the contingent. Great example of expertise and valour, contributing to increase the prestige of the Italian Army in Homeland but also abroad. (Somalia, 29th December 1992 – 15th March 1994).
