The Logistic Base has got an area of 6 hectares in addition to the area of the firing range, covering a total of 5000 hectares.

The Unit provides logistic support to the different units of the Italian Army employed in national or NATO exercises. In particular it gives shelters and logistic support in terms of provisioning, fuels and other things necessary ​to the Units training there.

The Unit also maintains in efficiency some "Leopard" armoured vehicles and combat vehicles for the Infantry.

According to a rigid schedule that stops the shooting activities in summer, in the state-owned area it houses armoured, mechanized and artillery units that go there for day and night exercises. In the large flat space there is also a launch area for paratroopers that is often used by the "Folgore" units.
