On 1^st October 1967 the military band of the "Julia" performed for the first time in the "Feruglio" Barracks in Venzone, as a group of musicians coming from Alpine regiments.

Today it is located in Udine. The military band has got a typical military repertoire: "La Marcia del Principe Eugenio", "La leggenda del Piave", "33^rd Alpine anthem", "Tranda sold" and "Montegrappa"; it also includes musical pieces by Gioacchino Rossini, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, Glenn Miller, Ennio Moricone and George Gershwin.

Its main activity is participating in official ceremonies and events, in concerts in Italian cities but also abroad and in several International Festivals of Military Bands. It also gives its contribution to Combat Associations and in particular the National Alpine Association.

The Military Band has got the task of maintaining a continuous success of critics and public, but particularly it must confirm and increase the prestige and the traditions of the Alpine Troops.
