With admirable organizational work and tenacity in the implementation, in many months of war and in difficult weather and territory conditions, it made possible the operations creating connections, mine fields and defensive positions. In several battles it helped the Alpine units involved in conflicts, showing abnegation and heroism in spite of bloody losses. (Russian front: 20^th September 1942 – 20^th January 1943. To the 4^th Engineer Mixed Battalion, "Cuneense" Alpine Division).

Moved to the area of Villa Santina (Friuli) hit by the earthquake, it worked for over six months in difficult environmental conditions. Refusing turnovers, it completed the activities planned by the Governmental Authorities and a series of special interventions. Its great effort, recognized and appreciated by everyone, contributed to save people and the heritage of cultural and moral values. Great example of abnegation and of the best civil virtues. (Carnia, 18^th October 1976 – 28^th March 1977. To the 2^nd "Iseo" Miners Engineer Battalion).

Decree of 18^th May 1964

With sacrifice and courage, the 2^nd Engineer Regiment showed altruism and heroic abnegation in rescuing the populations hit by the disaster of Vajont. (Disaster of Vajont, October 1963).
