After having given its contribution for the bridge of Dnjepropetrowsk, important transit route for the battle to enter Donez, it ensured a promptly passage in Woltschja to the Divisions, even under the enemy fire reaction. Called in an unstable phase of the defensive battle to limit the enemy forces action, it intervened impetuously with its infantrymen against the enemy showing its great abnegation and valour. (Russian front: Dnjepropetrowsk – Salawjanka, August 1941 – May 1942).

On the occasion of the flooding occurred in Polesine, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the 2^nd Pontoons Engineer Regiment intervened in the rescuing operations with human solidarity and dedication to duty. They contributed to save people deserving the recognitions of those populations and the Nation. (Polesine, November 1951).
