"Contro l'ala avversa"
It was named 4th Regiment on 1st June 1930, after the reorganization of the preexistent 4th Anti-aircrafts Artillery Centre. Its batteries were redeployed for the air defence of Sicily and other areas of Italy, during the Campaign in Eastern Africa; later they were mobilized for the War of Spain.
At the outbreak of the Second World War, it was deployed on the western Alpine front and in northern Africa.
In 1941 it fought on the Greek-Albanian front and in 1942-1943 it was in Russia. Come back to the Homeland in March 1943, it was dissolved after the armistice on 8th September.
Reconstituted on 24th May 1947 in Albenga (SV), the Unit changed its location several times, to be located in Mantova and Cremona in 1968.
The War Flag is decorated with a Bronze Medal to the Military Valour earned for the operation in Russia in 1942-1943.
