The Electromagnetic Compatibility has assumed greater importance; it aims to study the electromagnetic phenomena of the DUT (Device Under Test) that can affect its proper functioning or influence that of the device in its proximity.
In particular we can talk about "emission" when we want to analyze the electromagnetic fields created by the DUT and its disturbance effects on the environment; we can talk about "susceptibility" (or immunity) if we want to investigate on the disturbances against the DUT operating in a context with electromagnetic fields.
In order to carry out this type of test, it is necessary to use a specific instrumentation and a anechoic or semi-anechoic room or an electromagnetically isolated room simulating an Open Area Test Site (OATS).
POLMANTEO has got a semi-anechoic with an absorbent cladding on the lateral walls and on the ceiling; it is also equipped with tools for the electromagnetic compatibility tests, according to the law MIL-STD-461F.
