The Museum was inaugurated on 4th June 1905 and dedicated to the memory of the Officers fallen in war that had been students of the Military Academy; it was reopened in 1988 after a meticulous reordering work.
It is displaced onto an atrium, with seven exhibit rooms and one room as memorial.
The items exposed include an historical documentation, such as Decrees, Royal Patents and Regulations, but also memories and relics of former students fallen in the wars of Risorgimento and of Libya, in the First World War and in the African war; moreover you can see weapons, uniforms and equipment.
In the city centre we suggest you the visit to the Cathedral dedicated to San Geminiano; it dates back to the twelfth century and represents one of the most important samples of roman architecture in Italy, with its marbled bell tower 88 m. high called "Ghirlandina" for the bronze Garland of the weathervane.
