The Individual Combat Weapon System (ICWS) is a multifunction unit that is installed on the individual weapons through a NATO Picatinny Rail,giving the weapon system functions of observation and daily and nighty sighting.
The ICWS unit is composed by:
Infrared Camera;
Camera TV;
Visible Laser Sight;
Near Infrared Laser Sight;
Red Dot.
The Grenade Launcher Fire Control System (GLFCS) is an apparatus for the direction and control of the grenade fire from 40 mm; it is to be installed on the weapon system.
The unit is projected to reduce the reaction time and simplify the engagement process of the stationary and moving targets: the unit is powered by batteries and it has got laser rangefinders and inertial sensors to acquire data about the "target". The GLFCS permits to intervene also against targets in slow motion and, operating with the pointing device ICWS, it allows to use the grenade launcher in any operational situation day and night.
