The Pinerolo Brigade has participated in the recent operations on the National territory but also abroad.
In particular it was employed in rescue operations of people in places destroyed by natural disasters as the earthquake in Irpinia (1980), where it was awarded by the Bronze Medal to the Army Valour, the earthquake in Low Molise (2002), the floods in the municipalities of Sarno, Siano and Quindici (1998) and Montacuto (since 2010).
It participated also in operations for the safeguard of the Free Institutions and the peacekeeping, in the "Sicilian Vespers" Operation (1992), "Salento" (1995), "Riace" (1994-1995), "Partenope" (1994-1998), "Domino" (2001-2006) and "Safe Roads" (since 2008).
As regards the International Operations, it was employed for the following operations: "Joint Force" (Bosnia, 2004), "Joint Guardian" (Kosovo, 2004), N.H.Q.T (Albania, 2005-2005), "Joint Enterprise" (Kosovo, since 2006), ISAF (Afghanistan, since 2010) and "Leonte" (Lebanon, 2001).
