"Forte e tenace"
The "Ariete" Logistic Regiment originated from the 8th "Carso" Maneuvre Logistic Battalion, the logistic unit at the dependencies of the Services Unit Command of the 5th Army Corps.
It is organized in a regiment command, a command and services command, a transports battalion and a battalion managing the transits and able to carry out transports with high intensity and technology, to monitor movements, to manage the activities related to the transits of personnel or vehicles of materials at ports, airports, railway stations.
The War Flag of the Regiment is awarded with a Silver Cross to the Army Merit, given in 1992 for the "Pellicano" mission in Albania.
It is composed by volunteer personnel and is located in Remanzacco (UD).
Like for all the Transports and Materials Army units, the celebration of the Regiment is on 22nd May that is the anniversary of the first automotive transports of Units employed in the battle of Altipiani (1916).
Since 2015 it has been reorganized in a Command and Logistic Support Company and a Logistic Battalion (constituted by the three companies of Maintenance, Transports and Supply), with the name of "Ariete" Logistic Regiment.
