The 14th Stabilization and Reconstruction Orientation Course, delivered by military and civilian experts, organized and directed by the Center for Post Conflict Operations Studies, was held in recent days at the Army Training and Application School Command.

During the welcome address, Division General Mauro D'Ubaldi, Commander of the Training Institute, pointed out: "This is a course of high educational value that attests the capacities of excellence in the Italian Army, which is increasingly advanced in the study and analysis of post-conflict realities".

This year's course had an audience of 36 attendees consisting of 13 Italian Army Officers, 1 Afghan Officer from the 201st "Example" Course, 1 Air Force Officer, 1 Officer from the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence (SFA CoE), 7 Officers from the Royal Army of Oman, 2 representatives from the Ministry of Defense of North Macedonia, 1 Ministry of Defense Official, and 8 students designated by the University of Turin's Interdepartmental School of Strategic Sciences (SUISS-UNITO). Finally, 2 Tunisian Officers from the Tunisian War College participated as auditors as part of the NATO Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP).

The purpose of the course, conducted entirely in English, was to increase the technical-professional preparation of the attendees for a better understanding of the key factors as well as the complex and articulated multifunctional processes/activities that characterize post-conflict stabilization and reconstruction operations, promoting the culture of cooperation and synergy among all actors operating, in various capacities, in international crisis contexts.

The program featured a series of lectures given by a large and qualified group of military speakers, university professors and representatives of International/Regional Organizations; in addition, a theoretical-practical module aimed at using basic elements for planning stabilization activities was also conducted.
