With untamable audacity, it imposed itself in difficult positions, paying an immense blood tribute. Thanks to its virtue and faith, it reinforced itself and during the assault phase it crashed the enemy defenses. It opposed its audacious action of rearguard to the enemy advance in October 1917, paying blood tribute on Piave, during the resistance on that front and in the defence in June 1918. "Close-knit war unit with energies, intrepid will and courage in the maneuvres, in ten months of campaign it showed its superb traditions in the battle of Nipro where, after a thousand km of march, it imposed its superiority to the enemy crushing the enemy rearguards in the Donez. Reaffirmed the audacity of its battalions in dangerous explorative actions and after having distinguished for its contribution of valour in helping the column, it kept in check the enemy stealing it important strongholds. In defending an important defensive sector, reduced in number in a rigid winter, it reacted courageously to the enemy forces. (Russian front: Nipro, Uljanowka, Maximaljanowka, Sofjewka, Stalino, Panteleimonowka, Rassipnaja, Michailowka, Stoshkowo. August 1941 – May 1942).

"Superb war unit, it operated with dedication for a good end in the numerous battles. It was the first to arrive from the positions tenaciously defended during all the winter; it assaulted and important railway centre creating the precondition to destroy the enemy that was retreating and to conquer a rich mineral zone. Distant vanguard of the Italian troops in Russia with the 3rd Rapid Division coming from the Donez to Don, it attacked and conquered a bridgehead after a difficult and bloody struggle, subverting the offensive plan of the enemy. It crashed the enemy forcing it to escape and it stopped the subsequent offensive enemy returns. It was ordered to stop the enemy transiting on the right of Don attacking it impetuously, showing the warrior virtues of the italic ancestry to the allies and the enemy. During the War of Liberation, the 51st Battalion of the 1st Motorized Group offered the heroic holocaust of the cadet officers in Monte Lungo; the 29th and 33rd Battalions and the 1st Motorcyclists of C.I.L. around Monte Marrone and the Mainarde, arrived to Monte Mare, fought in Monte Granale di Iesi, Urbino and Urbania; the "Goito" Battalion of the "Legnano" Group sacrificed the audacious vanguards on the conquered Poggio Scanno. From Cassino to Bologna, worthy of the prestigious traditions of the Corps, with impetuous and bravado. (Campaign for the liberation. 6th December 1943 – 30th April 1945). ("Goito" Battalion).

On 23rd in Borgo, at night in Levico, it distinguished for courage and discipline in attacking difficult positions, because it was in vanguard to the 28th Infantry Regiment. (Borgo, 25th July 1866). (25th Battalion).

It assaulted with heroic impetuous a very strong position on Carso, opening a way but paying a blood tribute in helping the other units; it managed to maintain its occupation in three days of epic struggle, in spite of violent bombardment and the offensives of the enemy. Incorporated in the forces of the Italian contingent employed in Somalia for the operation to rescue and protect the population, in spite of the environmental difficulties, it did all it could with dedication and professionalism in the delicate and dangerous mission. In situations of security, its men have always confirmed operational capabilities, high sense of duty and courage in patrol activities on the territory but also in the search of weapons in operations against banditry. Involved in fire conflicts, it always reacted with efficiency, demonstrating in any circumstances the capability to grade the reactions of its personnel avoiding useless bloodshed. Its hard work was motivated by the pride and the certainty of giving humanitarian help to a desperate population as well as the need to give an order to a Country devastated by the civil war. Clear example of expertise and valour that contributed to increase the prestige of the Italian Army. (Somalia, 9th October 1993 – 22nd January 1994).

Continuing in Africa the heroic traditions of the Great War, in the operations for the conquest of Tigrai, it gave proof of sense of duty and dedication to the Homeland. With enthusiasm and unanimous valour it conquered the uplands of Belesat, crashing the enemy resistance and contributing to the victorious conclusion of the battle of Endertà. On the occasion of the violent flooding it operated generously with men and vehicles, in difficult interventions in favour of the populations, contributing to limit and reduce the disastrous effects of the calamity. (Province of Vercelli, 2nd November – 20th December 1968).
