The Music Band of the "Aosta" Brigade was constituted in the postwar, in May 1977 in Messina, with the name of "Music of Ordnance".
It was composed by 28 elements.
In 1988 it became the Band of the "Aosta" Brigade, located at the Command and Signals Unit of the Brigade. Today it has got 40 elements, including Volunteers in permanent service and Volunteers in prefixed conscription. The Band is employed for typical military ceremonies and in the most important national or international events.
In the recent past it performed abroad in Prague in June 1999, Kaiserslautern (Germany) and Hungary in 2001 for the "Balaton" Operation and in Belgium in May 2002, in the city of Mons, always gaining appreciation and recognition by the civil and military authorities.
The repertoire includes marches and typical anthems of the Army; but it also performs light, lyrical, symphonic and sacred music.
