"Forte e tenace"
The “Pozzuolo del Friuli” Logistic Regiment derives from the 8th “Carso” Maneuvre Logistic Regiment that was at dependencies of the Services Unit Command of the 5th Army Corps.
It is constituted by a regiment command, a command and services company, a transports battalion and a battalion in charge of managing transits for high intensity and technology transports, of monitoring movements, of managing all the activities related to personnel, vehicles and materials transits at harbours, airports, railway stations.
The war flag of the regiment has been decorated with a Silver Cross to the Army Merit in 1992 for the “Pellicano” Mission in Albania.
The Regiment is located in Remanzacco (UD) and constituted by volunteer personnel.
As for all the Transports and Materials Corps, the celebration of the Regiment is on 22nd May that is the anniversary of the first big automotive transports of Units employed in the battle of Altipiani (1916).
On 1st July 2015, after the reorganization of the Army, the 8th Transports Regiment passed at the dependencies of the “Pozzuolo del Friuli” Brigade and changed its name into “Pozzuolo del Friuli” Logistic Regiment. It is now constituted by a Command and Logistic Support Company and a Logistic Battalion with three companies (Maintenance, Transports and Refuelling).
