"Ferrea mole ferreo cuore"
On 1st September 1936 the 2nd Tank Driver Infantry Regiment was constituted including the assault tanks battalions, later called light (L) and then medium (M).
On 1st December 1938 it became 32nd Tank Driver Infantry Regiment, included in the "Ariete" Armoured Brigade that one year later became a division.
Until April 1942 the Regiment operated in Northern Africa and later it was deployed in Sardinia until it was dissolved on 31st August 1944.
On 1st March 1964 the 32nd Tanks Regiment was formed but on 30th September 1975 it was dissolved after the reorganization of the Army. The 3rd Battalion was named "M.O. Galas" Tanks Battalion and it was included in the 32nd "Manin" Armoured Brigade with the 5th "M.O. Chiamenti".
On 26th August 1992 the personnel of the Battalion and that of the 5th "M.O. Chiamenti" Tanks Battalion constituted the 32nd.
