The Coat is in glazed metal, on a leather sannitic shield-shaped pendant, with a golden yellow border. In the middle of the background there is a grey ionic capital, outweighted by the gold wording “COMANDO LOGISTICO DELL’ESERCITO”. In the middle of the capital column, there is the nub of the yoke, grey like the capital.
The “nub of the yoke” summarizes the concept of union. It states the link between more forces, apparently independent of each other but that, together, interact in order to create a unique and strong driving force.
The more the nub is tight, the more the link will be firm and greater the force produced. The yoke is a wooden structure fitted to the neck of oxen and horses, used for carts towing even from ancient times, for agricultural or military purposes, and tethered to the beam or wheel through the nub of the yoke. If we consider the Army like a system of forces, logistics is that knotted wire which binds the different parties of the system and allows the driving force to transmit to the same system and make it work. Regardless of mythological connotations, according Aristarchus, logistics is the confluence of life energy.
