The Command is led by a Lieutenant General and it is composed of:
It includes the following offices: Coordination, Staff, Logistic Operations, Security, Financial Planning, Alienation and Logistic Activities. It provides organizational and functional support to the Logistic Commanders.
TRANSPORTS AND MATERIALS COMMAND
It includes the combat materials Units and the mobility Unit with the 8th "Casilina" Transports Regiment at its dependencies. The Deputy Logistic Commanders and the Transports and Materials Commander provides consultation about the management of materials and vehicles to the logistic Commander. The reorganization of the Defence industrial area has led up to the constitution of 5 centres in the Transports and Materials Command: two maintenance centres ( one for the northern area and one for the southern), one maintenance centre for light armament, one for the maintenance of TLC materials and one for the supply of materials to the Engineer Corps, the Artillery and the NBC.
It includes the administrative logistic Office. The logistic Deputy Commander and the Administrative Commander provide legal, financial, judicial, administrative, accounting and technical advice.
HEALTH AND VETERINARY COMMAND
At its dependencies there are the Health and Veterinary Studies and Researches Centre of the Army, the military veterinary Centre and the military veterinary Hospital. The logistic health and veterinary Deputy Commander and the Commander provide health-veterinary logistic advice and they update the situation of the materials in use. The Command also includes a veterinary unit that provides veterinary advice and updates the situation of the materials in use.
At the dependencies of the Command there are the experimentation multifunctional Centre and the NBC inter-force logistic technical Centre. The Logistic Deputy Commander and the technical Commander provides advice to the logistic Commander about experimentation activities and technical evaluation in order to use adequately vehicles, materials, weapons and equipment.
CENTRAL INSPECTION UNIT
It has got the task of monitoring the functionality and efficiency of the Armed Force Logistics.
