The Horse Riding Military Centre has got the sport traditions of the Italian military horseback riding.
Heir of the Horse Riding Military Royal School (1823) and the pre-Olympic Equestrian Centre, it assumed the name of Horse Riding Military School in 1969.
In 1993 it was transformed in Cavalry School and later, in 1998, it was named RSTA (Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition) Training Group.
Since 2007, with the current name, the Centre has resumed to carry out the functions of the School.
In its 190 years old of life the Centre had athletes that have made the history of the Italian and worldwide horse riding, such as the brothers D'Inzeo, Angioni and Oppes.
Today riders of the "complete horse riding" and "hurdle jumping" sections train on a field of 540 hectares in Montelibretti, where training courses are organized for employees of the equestrian sector.
