The Italian soldiers: "boys with sincere hearts and white hands”
The Italian contingent deployed in the south of Lebanon as part of the UNIFIL mission, accepted the invitation of the Banin Charity Association to facilitate a delicate heart transplant operation in favor of a young Lebanese, suffering from serious heart problems since birth.
In the coming weeks, the boy will be moved to Italy to a specialized institute thanks also to the contribution of Italian peacekeepers who, in a totally anonymous and voluntary manner, have adhered in mass to the solidarity competition promoted by the Banin association, born in Lebanon in 2013 with humanitarian and welfare purposes in favor of the most needy.
The head of the Association, Sabrine Harb, wanted to thank the military for their generosity, describing them as "boys with sincere hearts and white hands".
