Official visit of Lieutenant General Salvatore Farina welcomed by representatives of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

Increasing the training and operational joint activities: more together

​The Chief of General Staff of the Italian Army, Lieutenant General Salvatore Farina, has concluded this afternoon his visit to Slovenia where he has met the Slovenian high military commands.

The Chief of General Staff of the Army, accompanied by the Slovenian Force Commander Brigadier General Milko Petek, has visited the command dedicated to the development of the forces, the training and the employment of the units, receiving an illustration of the tasks and activities of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

Later General Farina has met the Chief of the Slovenian Defence General Staff, Major General Alan Geder; he has also visited the 1st Brigade located in Ljubljana and the 72nd Infantry Brigade located in Maribor. Those units represent the main land component of the Slovenian Armed Forces.

At the end of the meeting, the Chief of General Staff of the Army has expressed his appreciation for the firm collaboration between the two Armies, stressing on the importance of increasing the training and operational joint activities, by studying needs and through an adequate planning activity.
