The Art and the attention to the role of women in Afghan society.

The women of Herat committed to the growth of their country in all fields

​In recent days, at the Camp Arena headquarters of the Train Advise Assist Command West (TAAC-W), the art exhibition entitled "the Art of being a Woman" was held. The event, organized by the NATO Contigent in collaboration with the Department of Women Affairs of Herat and the Afghan Defense and Security Forces, wanted to underline the importance of the role of women in Afghan society, in particular in culture and art.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the director of the Department, Anisa Sarwari, and saw the participation of 12 local artists who exhibited their works: oil paintings, watercolors and ceramics.

The public information officers of the 207th Army Corps Aghano and the Provincial Police Command of Herat, previously specialized in the specific branch of the TAAC-W in the areas of Training, Advise and Assist (TAA), contributed to the promotion and at the inauguration of the artistic event.

Brigadier General Giovanni Parmiggiani, Commander of the TAAC-W currently leading the Cavalry Brigade “Pozzuolo del Friuli”- pointed out that the women of Herat are committed to the growth of their country in all fields, from military to cultural”.

Resolute Support Mission is composed by military personnel who come from 41 nations, all united in a single purpose, to contribute to training, assistance and advice to local Institutions and Security Forces in order to facilitate the conditions for creation of a state of law, credible and transparent institutions and above all, autonomous and well-equipped security forces. This process is leading the Afghan Security Forces to take on the task of guaranteeing the security of the country and of its fellow countrymen.
