Ever more closely the link between the Multinational CIMIC Group and the United States Military Academy
In the period from 27 April to 3 May, a delegation from Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG), an Army multinational joint unit, specialized in civilian-military cooperation, conducted some training sessions at the Army Military Academy in West Point. The initiative, within the framework of bilateral agreements started last year with the visit of a delegation of United States Military Academy (USMA) cadets, at Multinational CIMIC Group Headquarters in Motta di Livenza, is aimed to consolidate the cooperation and to develop possible future collaboration in the area of education and training.
Staff from Multinational CIMIC Group gave some lectures in favor of the course “Civil Military Operations (CMOC)” about civilian-military Cooperation within NATO, interacting with the cadets on topics related to CIMIC (such as the interaction with non-military actors and trading and communication techniques) and conducting several meetings with professors, academicians and department heads from the Institution.
As proof of the link of solid and fruitful cooperation between Multinational CIMIC Group and United States Military Academy, from 19 to 24 may, a cadets’ delegation of West Point will pay back the visit, being hosted at “Mario Fiore” Headquarters. They will follow, as observers, the NATO CIMIC Field/Staff Worker Course and familiarize with NATO technic-tactic procedures in the field of CIMIC, directly in contact with the Multinational CIMIC Group operators.
