Italian and Spanish Army meet for DOCEX 2017.

Occhiello: “A confrontation between Italy and Spain over Doctrine in the Army”

​The work of Doctrine and Lessons learned Bilateral Meeting, organized by the Command for Education, Specialization and Doctrine of the Army at the Pio IX Barracks Officers' Club in Rome, ended last Thursday. Personnel from Doctrine Office of the aforementioned Command with a delegation of the Mando de Adestramiento y Doctrina (MADOC) of the Spanish Army took part at the session.

The event, at the second edition, represented a moment of discussion and motivation for the Armed Force, from a perspective of cooperation within European and International contest.

During three intensive working day, with the participation of 6 members of the Spanish Army Command for Education and Doctrine, they focused two main topics, Engagement and Hybrid Conflicts, and proceeded, the second day, in Cesano, with a visit of Security Force Assistance Center (SFA).

The work ended with the presentation of the achievements of the syndicates, under the responsibility of analysts and co-directors of the dedicated working groups and with a discussion about topics to be addressed in the third edition of the exercise. A great satisfaction was expressed for this bilateral activity, which paves the way in order to face the most the modern operative environment, constantly evolving.
