The PzH 2000 is a self-propelled howitzer of 155/52 mm, built by a consortium composed of the companies Krauss-Maffei, Wegmann and Rheinmetall for the German Army.
It has got a sophisticated fire control system with a ballistic computer based on the inertial navigation system and the GPS; it has also got an automatic loading mechanism with a fire range of 4 rpm.
The self-propelled howitzer has been also acquired by the Dutch Army and the Greek Army. The Italian systems are built by the consortium IVECO-OTO Melara (CIO).
